He was predeceased by: his parents, Charley Houston Tidwell and Mary Magalene Lehew; his son Billy Lee Tidwell; his brothers, Ray, Paul, Bobby and Charles; and his grandsons, Jason, Arron and Jeremy Tidwell.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria; his children, Judy Elmore (Arnie), Jim Tidwell (Donna) of Lubbock and John Tidwell (Karen); his daughter-in-law Nancy Tidwell of Brownfield; and his friend Gloria Lea Stowe. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
