He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl McGar and Thelma McGar; and his wife Katherine Darlene McGar. He is survived by: his sons, Roy Earl McGar II (Amelia) and Christopher Edward McGar (Elizabeth); his siblings, Johnny Hightower (Shirley) and Barabra Faye Quinn; and his grandchildren, ReAnna McGar, Roy Earl McGar III and Katherine LeAnn McGar.
