He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Read (Sam) and Nellie Read; and his son Larry Read. He is survived by: his wife Linda Read of Brookeland, TX; his daughters, Kimberly Simmons (Tim) of Huntsville, TX and Leigh Sargent (Chad) of St. Charles, Missouri; his grandchildren, Ashlea Doss (Kenny), Stephen Simmons (Katie), Jacob Woods, Hunter Woods (Elaine), Bryan Read (Julia), Kimberlin Sargent and Kace Sargent; and his great grandchildren, Kason Doss, Allison Doss, Jackson Doss, Camryn Simmons, Charlotte Woods and Ruth Woods.
