He was predeceased by: his parents, Bascemp Forehand Kennon and Nell Frances Stoddard Kennon; and his siblings, Ruby Obray and Robert Kennon. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Kennon of Brookeland; his children, Kimmie Kennon Brown (Ron) of Brookeland and Jerry L. Kennon, Jr. of Lumberton; his grandchildren, Michael Sullivan (Brittany), Ashleigh Davis, Katie Sullivan, Camryn Kennon (Catherine) and Zackary Kennon; his great grandchildren, Grace Sullivan (Aaron), Hannah Sullivan (Shelby), Kiley Nichols, Emily Sullivan, Hayden Nichols, Peyton Nichols, Samson Runge and Clover Kennon; his great great grandchild Charlotte Sullivan; and his siblings, Jack Kennon, Anna Samples and Mary Herring.
Following his retirement, Jerry began working for the Nelda C. and H.J. Lutcher Stark Foundation and was head of the security department.
