We are sad to announce that on October 3, 2020, at the age of 92, James Burt of Brookeland, Texas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Burt to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Burt and Edna Latham Burt; his wife Jeanne Burt; his son Kevin Burt, Sr.; his grandson Tyler Burt; and his siblings, William Burt, Morris Burt, Donald Burt and Edith Pena.
He is survived by: his daughter Vanessa Spurlock (Dan) of Brookeland; his brother Billy Burt (Sammie) of Jasper; and his grandchildren, James Spurlock (Ashley) of Woodville, Jennifer Armstrong (Andy) of College Station, Kevin Burt, Jr. (Lacey) of Port Neches and Jessica Halter (Ross) of Port Neches. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funerals are currently a public event being held during the national response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
