He is survived by: his parents, Donald Shears and Edith Shears; his wife Danielle Shears of Brookeland; his siblings, Robert Shears of Cleveland and Alice Styir of Bryan; and his pets, Oggie and Kirby. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
