He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Walton and Estelle Griffin Walton; and his great grandchild Ava Barrett. He is survived by: his wife Martha Walton of Bronson; his children, Russell Walton (Brooke) of Bronson and Nicole Brownlee (Phillip) of Houston; his siblings, Lee Walton of San Augustine, Berlene Morris of Houston, Billie Morris (Weldon) of Vidor, Janie McCollough of Lumberton and Doris Ward of Lumberton; his grandchildren, Aspen Walton, Aaron Walton, Andrew Brownlee, Madison Brownlee and Kaylee Menard; his great grandchildren, Kaydence Mattingly and Kennedi Mattingly; and his brother-in-law Butch Ellison (Becky). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Starr Funeral Home Chapel (510 Starr St, Hemphill, TX 75948). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
