She was predeceased by: her mother Laura Bea Dickerson McBride; her son Wayland Smith; her father Wesley McBride; and her brother R. W. McBride. She is survived by: her daughters, Allison Phillips (Brad) of Iredell and Summer Smith of Bronson; her sister Kathryn Byley of Bronson; her grandson Wes Wootten (Lauren) of Iredell; her great grandchildren, Jordan Alley, Walker, Hunter Broumley and Dallas Wootten; her sister-in-law Barbara McBride of Nederland; and her nieces and nephews, Sharon Byley of Bronson, Kaye Stapp of Bronson, Benny Byley of Bronson and Bradley Byley (Sybil) of Hemphill.
