She was predeceased by: her parents, Judge Dalphus and Juanita Fern Freeman Brown; her husband Gova Eugene Gary; and her siblings, J. C. Brown, Buster Brown, Dalphus Brown, Hubert Brown and Carolyn Brown.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janice Willams (Billy) and Bernice Welch (Calvin); and her grandchildren, Dorcas Rupert (Bandon), Joe Williams (Candice), Aaron Williams (Laura), Carla Worry (Mark) and R. C. Welch (Brittany). She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
