He was predeceased by: his parents, Stella Shugart and Lee Shugart; his siblings, Charles A. Shugart, Thomas A. Shugart, Peggy Langston, Mary Mayfield and Treasa Derrett; and his son-in-law Matt Hudspeth.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Shugart; his children, Kirk Shugart (Amy Shugart) and Jamie Hudspeth; his grandchildren, Kelsey Hudspeth, Cole Hudspeth, Sydney Shugart, Seth Shugart and Sam Shugart; and his great grandchildren, Eli and Anson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
