He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoyet Mitchum and Kate Mitchum (Sherman); his siblings, Jim Caraway, Tommy Mitchum and Irene Lehmberg; and his grandson Chad Potts.
He is survived by: his former wife Katherine Irene Rowe; his wife Irene Mitchum; his daughters, Debra Potts (Robbie), Brenda Begeman (Barry) and Shari Schaefer (Darrell); his grandchildren, Bryan Potts (Lindsay), Jonathan Potts (Sonia), Jeremy Begeman, Julie Drevecky (Cary), Nicole Singleton (Quinton) and Kenny Lanzalaco; and his great grandchildren, Corbin Potts, Eli Smith, Allie Begeman, Mikayla Drevecky of Makenzie Drevecky, Q. J and Peyton Singleton. He is also survived by his family but helped raise the children of his sister.
