He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kimsey Pitts and Vivian Pitts; and his parents-in-law, Howard and Hazel McCarty. He is survived by: his wife Connie Pitts; his daughters, Marsha Miller of Terrell and Sharon Holt (Ralph Holt, Jr.) of Bridgeport; and his grandchildren, David Martin, Jr., Marlo Coffman, Matthew Martin, Krystal Nolan, Jacob Holmes and Alyssa Hogue. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
