With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Martina (Ortiz) Alvarez of Bridgeport, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 12, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Santos Ortiz and Margarita Ortiz (Hernandez) of Mexico; and her siblings, Rosendo, Gomesindo Ortiz and Maria Ortiz of Martinez.
She is survived by: her husband Humberto Alvarez; her children, Salvador Alvarez (Prescilla) of Azle, Gustavo Alvarez (Shanna) of Midland and Magdalena Alvarez (Jose Hernandez) of Keller; her sisters, Juana Chavez (Valentin) of Bridgeport, Rosenda Ortiz of Ramirez and Jalisco; and her grandchildren, Ramiro Alvarez of Norman, Grayson Minica of Midland, Alessandra, Karina Carr of Keller, Christian and Adrian Alvarez of Midland.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home (1401 Halsell St, Bridgeport, TX 76426). A rosary was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Her contributions to these groups played a significant role in fostering community spirit and support among families.
