He was predeceased by: his daughter Yvette Edgerton Vaughn; his stepson Alton Vanek; his grandson James Aaron Vaughn; and his wives, Alta Christine Garlington Edgerton and Ruth Denton Edgerton.
He is survived by: his daughter Shelia Young; his sons-in-law, Jim Young and Randy Vaughn; his stepchildren, Coy Elliott, Deborah Wilson (Elmer) and Donny Hart (Rhenea); his grandchildren, Jacob Young, Joshua Young, Heather VanRemmen (James), Jana Young Jones and Jessica Cannon (Jeremy); his great grandchildren, Cooper VanRemmen, Jackson Young, Whitney VanRemmen, Brett Cannon, Randy James Cannon, Emma Jones, Ryan Cannon and Walker Jones; and his brothers, Jack Thomas Edgerton (Janie) and Donald Ray Edgerton (Lupe).
