He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell O. Burns and Doris Jean Burns (Wyatt). He is survived by: his wife Deiana Jean Burns of Bridgeport; his children, Kelly Griffith (Corbett), Samatha Calhoun of Decatur, Karen Harrigal (Brian) and Bryan Burns of Dallas; and his sister Vickie McFarlin (Gerald). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hawkins Funeral Homes (1909 9th St, Bridgeport, TX 76426). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rock Church (3078 TX-101, Bridgeport, TX 76426). A burial was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at the East Bridgeport Cemetery (400 17th St, Bridgeport, TX 76426).
