He was predeceased by: his parents, John Balwin and Ida May Dallas (Johnston). He is survived by: his wife Beverly Cole Dallas of Paradise; his children, Elenora Dallas of Granbury, Debbie Lee of Paradise, Linda Dallas (Neiko Baker) of Decatur and Carl Dallas of Groveland, California; his sister Mary Ellen Mathis of Hillsboro, Texas; his grandchildren, Beverley Ann, Leonard, Tamara, Mistie, Michael, Jessica, Gypsy and Fifteen; and his friend Jean Stutt. He is also survived by family; numerous nieces, nephews, and numerous extended family.
