It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Anderson of Bridge City, Texas, born in Malden, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 22, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Giorgio Savarino and Lena Maria Savarino; her husband George Anderson, Jr.; and her siblings, Eleanor Fermano, Anthony Bernadini, Beatrice Barrett, Louis Savarino, Jean Bonito, Vincent Savarino and Dorothy Cannata.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Anderson (Kelli), Jeff Anderson (Leslie), Rebel Prestwood (Jim) and George "Goober" Anderson III (Lucy); her grandchildren, Chelsea Jones (Eric), Karli Anderson (Colton), Whitney Anderson (James), Balie Viator (Madison), Alexis Mayfield (Regan), Colbie Prestwood (Taylor), Caleb Anderson (Carly), Cameron Anderson (Amelia), Keegan Anderson (Hallie), Erin Cooper (Seth) and Lauren Adams (Clayton); her great grandchildren, Andi Kate Jones, Grayson Jones, Hayes Cooper, Cort Cooper, Olivia Phillips, Anderson Phillips, Drake Mills, Paxton Prestwood, Sumner Prestwood, Harper Mayfield and Ellie Jo Anderson; and her sister Anna Travis (Jack) of Nashua, NH. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to First Baptist Church in Bridge City in honor of Rita.
