He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmery Padgett and Margie Padgett; his wife Debra Padgett; his brother Loveless Schrieber; and his children, Marcie Jo Padgett and Stephen Padgett.
He is survived by: his siblings, Violet Hunt of Orange and Larry Padgett of Bridge City; his children, Amanda Friar (Matt) of Mauriceville, Jerri Nicole Cormier (Lee) of Bridge City, Shelley Waldrep (Clay) of Deweyville, Ramona Sammons of Kirbyville, Heather Janik (Dale) of Wharton and Kimberly Hammett (John) of Milam; and his grandchildren, Slaytter Cormier, Izzabella Cormier, Lexxie Rosario, Karson Friar, Kade Wheat, Jacelyn Waldrep, Brendan Waldrep, Courtney Janik, Melissa Harris, Emily Pointer, Matthew Peveto, Michael Sammons, Meghan Sammons and Mackenzie Sammons. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
