He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Amy Whitmire of Lumberton, TX, Angela Whitmire of LaBelle, TX, Joshua Clinton Whitmire of Vidor, TX and Sarah Whitmire (Brad Cooksey) of Groves, TX; his brother Roy Gayle Whitmire of Liberty, TX; his parents, Lee Whitmire and Artie Mae Whitmire; and his siblings, Burton Whitmire, Buddie Whitmire, Pearl Ann Crenshaw, Betty Jean Whitmire, Alan Whitmire, Talmage Whitmire and Hazel Ezzell. He was also cherished by 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
