He is survived by: his daughter Caitlin Gideon of Nederland; his stepdaughter Melissa Szakmeister of Delta, Colorado; the mother of his child Gay Gideon; his granddaughters, Breanna, Olivia, Ella and Destiny Jane; and his cousin Charles Gideon of Fort Worth.
