We are sad to announce that on February 12, 2025, at the age of 64, Walter Schlabach of Brenham, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wollie Schlabach and Esther Wunderlich Schlabach; his brother-in-law Donald Meier; his parents-in-law, Maxine and Michael Hickey; and his brother-in-law Tim Hickey.
He is survived by: his wife Alisa Schlabach of Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church; his children, Katie and Jonathan Schlabach; his grandchildren, Keeli, Kambree and Davien Schlabach; his sister Miranda Schlabach Meier; his nieces and nephews, Carra Meier and Christopher Meier; his siblings-in-law, Shane, Susan Hickey, Chris, Debbie Hickey, Joe Hickey, Michelle Wileman and Gloria Hickey; his aunts, Beverly Schlabach and Verna Wunderlich; and his close friends, Lewis, Bobby LaFerney, Lance Chambers and Rachel.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memorial Oaks Chapel (1306 W Main St, Brenham, TX 77833). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Abiding Word Lutheran Church (464 Oak Tree Crossing Dr, Brenham, TX 77833). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at the Prairie Lea Cemetery (1004 Prairie Lea St, Brenham, TX 77833).
