Ron Smith Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 28, 2021, at the age of 77, Ron Smith of Brenham, Texas, born in San Rafael, California passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Calvin Chidester and Ernest Leon Smith; and his brother Lee Smith. He is survived by: his wife Joan Hasskarl Smith; his children, Kathlena Smith Ruiz (Raul) and Jonathan Palmer Smith (Angela); his stepchildren, Carrie Templeton (Parker) and Barrett Harrison (Maria); his siblings, Jill Tatum (Bill) and Dan Smith (Edna); and his sister-in-law Patty Smith.

In light of the Covid resurgence we will honor Ron in a small private ceremony and appreciate your understanding of our need to exercise responsibility.
