He was predeceased by: his parents, Doak Bennett and Rose Bennett (Scott); his parents-in-law, Edmund and Wilodine Lemke; and his brother-in-law Jimmy Robertson.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Bennett; his children, Jennie Bennett and Kim Cole; and his grandchildren, Kayla Cole and Kevin Cole.
