He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Meinecke and Ruth Meinecke; his wife Ida Meinecke; his son Robert Meinecke; his grandson Jason Heaton; and his brother Melvin Meinecke.

He is survived by: his children, Betty Meinecke (John Hargrove) and Michael Meinecke (Therisa); his daughter-in-law Lynne Meinecke; his grandson Markus Meinecke; his great grandchild Peyton Crutcher; and his siblings-in-law, Lucille Meinecke, Barbara Broesche and Marcus Broesche (Susan).

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brenham Memorial Chapel (2300 Stringer St, Brenham, TX 77833). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
