She was predeceased by: her parents, Jason Hester and Effie Doris Hester (Wilkerson); her son Johnnie Hester; her sister Betty Jo Hahn; her grandson Erich Tappe; her great grandchild Dalton Tappe; and her granddaughter Crystal Leeder.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Henry Tappe, Sr.; her children, Charles Tappe Jr. (Drenda) of Splendora, John Sommers (Wendy) of Cypress and Joanie Keith (Alan) of Fayetteville; her daughter-in-law Karen Tompkins; her grandchildren, Johnnie Hester Jr., Clint Duval, Timothy Duval, Ryan Duval (Bri), Kaitlin Sommer, Sara Kleinsteuber (Stephen), Charlie Tappe III (Tonya) and Heather Wilson; her niece Dee Anna Hahn; and her nephew Mike Hahn.
