He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Sr. Hanath and Annie Hanath (Herrmann); his siblings, Anita Hanath, Louis, Bennie and Alvin; and his sister-in-law Joycine.
He is survived by: his wife Mae Dell; his children, Nathan "Alan" Hanath of Brenham, Tess Hanath (Cindy Culp) of Houston, Kevin Hanath (Shannon) of Bellville and Lois Meier (Tommy) of Brenham; his grandchildren, Taylor Hanath, Culp (Midyana), Kerstyn Hanath (Justin Cooper), Cade Hanath, Blaine Hanath, Brian Meier (Kasey) and Loni Meier (Shannon Thornton); his great grandchild Madyson Meier; his grandchildren, Zackry Meier, Haylee Meier and Kamryn Meier; his pets, Josie, Ozzy and Sid; his siblings, Richard Hanath Jr. (Pearlie) and Amalia Woolf; and his sisters-in-law, Gloria Hanath and Bernice Hanath. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be given to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brenham, Berlin - Mill Creek - Zionsville Fire Department or Hospice Brazos Valley.
