He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto H. Penkert and Elfie Penkert; and his parents-in-law, John and Lorena Bethke. He is survived by: his wife Doris M. Bethke; his daughter Donna; his son-in-law Steve Baker of Alpharetta; his son Darrell R. Penkert of Cypress, Texas; his grandchildren, Laurel Baker, Austin Baker and Kelsey Penkert; his great grandchildren, Faith Mathis, Rylee Baker, Whitney Keene and Lainey Keene; his brother Johnny; his sister-in-law Brenda Bethke; and his nephew J. W. Bethke.
