She was predeceased by: her father Willie E. Mertz; her sister Carol (Gene); and her parents-in-law, Reinhold and Dellie Mae Herrmann. She is survived by: her mother Vernell Mertz (Schilling); her daughter Cristi Lashelle; her brother Dale (Penny); her daughter Ashlea Herrmann; her uncle Melvin; and her aunt Dorothy Schilling. She is also survived by many cousins and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memorial Oaks Chapel (1306 W Main St, Brenham, TX 77833). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Ebenezer Lutheran Church (356 S Berlin Rd, Brenham, TX 77833). A burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (900 Navasota St, Burton, TX 77835).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Ebenezer Lutheran Church or Greenvine Lutheran Church.
