He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed W. Hodde and Alma Weiss Hodde; his former wife Elsie; his grandson Kyle David Schulze; his sister Evelyn Menn; and his siblings-in-law, Willie Kelling (Joyce), Rudy Kelling (Ruth B.), Ray Kelling (Pauline), Dan Kelling (Ruth I.), Edith Gilmore (Henry), Kathleen Farris (Quentin), Marie Wilson (Gaylord) and David Bodenheimer (Caran).
He is survived by: his wife Diana; his children, Don Hodde (Barbara), Patricia Schulze (Larry) and Peggy Swanson (Steve); his stepchildren, Brad Wallace (Terri) and Whitney Wilburn (Kevin); his grandchildren, Valerie Schulze, Matt Hodde (Sara), Nathan Hodde (Tiffany), Paul Hodde, Grant Swanson (Maggie), Ty Swanson, Avery Sears, Hayden Wallace and Jaysen Wallace; his great grandchild Evie Hodde; and his cousins, Jimmie Weiss and Edna Weiss. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Brenham Memorial Chapel (2300 Stringer St, Brenham, TX 77833). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Salem Lutheran Church (1500 Salem Rd, Brenham, TX 77833).
