He is survived by: his children, Charles Tappe (Drenda), John Sommers (Wendy), Joanie (Alan Keith) and Karen Tompkins of Conroe, TX; his sisters, Sweet Pea (Doug Caruthers), Carol (Joe Carlie) and Darla Stafford of Houston, TX.; his grandchildren, Charlie, Tonya Tappe, Heather, Lilman Wilson, Kaitlin Sommers, Sara, Stephen Kleinsteuber, Clint, Timothy, Ryan Duval and Johnney Hester; and his great grandchildren, Jordan, Jayci Wilson and Carter Tappe.
