Barbara Mendell Schroeder Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Mendell Schroeder (Brenham, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 22, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Elizabeth Widmeyer and Howard Edgar Mendell; her siblings, Connie and Richard; her children, Terry and Becky; her grandson Brandon; and her great grandchild Taylor.
She is survived by: her husband Wesley Schroeder; her sons, Howard Maynard of Bay City and George "Duncan" Maynard of Delaware; and her sister Avelyn Cope of Port Orange, Florida. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Brenham Memorial Chapel (2300 Stringer St, Brenham, TX 77833). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Hospice, Conroe, TX.
