He was predeceased by: his parents, L. R. Castaneda and Josephine Castaneda. He is survived by: his wife Becky Castaneda of Breckenridge; and his siblings, Barbara Mendez, Jovita Oxlaj, Susan Elizondo of Cisco, Margaret Castillo of Clinton, Sylvia Villanueva of Dallas, Ruben Castaneda of Cisco and Felix Castaneda of Breckenridge. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
