It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Wayne Mayfield of Breckenridge, Texas, born in Mineral Wells, Texas, who passed away on February 16, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wayne Mayfield and Mary Elizabeth Gregory Mayfield; his son Carl Wayne Mayfield; and his siblings, David, Phillip Mayfield, Mary Evelyn Mayfield Richey and William Hester Mayfield (Billy).
He is survived by: his sister Shirley Jean Manske; his daughter Jackie Elaine Wahler (George Wahler); his grandson Christopher (Emily); his great grandchild Nicholas Wahler; his daughter Michelle Lynn Melikan; his grandchildren, Marshal Cole and Chloe Bella Tompkins; his great grandchild Taylor Melikan; his daughter-in-law Dale Metcalf; his grandson-in-law Bradley Mayfield; his son Brock; his grandchildren, Caysen and Maelynne; his sister-in-law Sylvia Mayfield; and also, Mason, Hudson, Noah Nicole and Pieper. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
