He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe David Weatherby and Vivian Woods Weatherby; his wife Gwen Nell Latimer; and his siblings, Jessie, Joe, Raymond and Rose.

He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Bush (Don) of Beaumont and Terri Griffith (David) of Gilmer, Texas; his grandchildren, Matt Bush (Angela), Mark Bush (Brandi), Ben Griffith and Sarah Griffith; and his great grandchildren, Mason, Cassie, Cameron and Hudson.
