He was predeceased by: his father Joe G. Salazar, Sr.; and his brothers-in-law, Jose "Baby Joe" Salazar and Charles "Chuck" Robert Gonzales, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Leonor R. Salazar (Joe Ramirez) of Brazoria; his wife Edna Salazar of Brazoria; his children, Ismael J. Salazar (Gabby) of Richwood, Joe "Trey" G. Salazar III (Kristen Cisneros) of Victoria, Yaritza "Yari" Estrada of Brazoria and Kendra Ann Salazar of Brazoria; his siblings, Norma Ann Gonzales of La Porte, Nora Ann Salazar (James Smith) of Arlington, Emily Ann Landin (Karlos) of Mesquite and Michael R. Salazar of Brazoria; and his grandchildren, Anthony Layne and Liliana Marie Salazar. He is also survived by other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
