He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Waylan Stanley Burke and Nellie Elizabeth Burke (Weaver); his wife Jacqueline Marie Burke (Boehm); his sister Joyce "Sistergirl" Huffman (Burke); his children, Tina Davis (Clark) of Houston, Sheila Ochsner of Katy and Bill Burke (Keri) of Dallas; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Davis, Madeline Storey (Jake), Abigail Davis, Morgan Ochsner, Kenneth Ochsner, Brooke Ochsner, Preston Burke and Catherine Burke. He was also cherished by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to FBC Brazoria - Missions in George's name as supporting missions was one of his passions.
