She was predeceased by: her parents, Phil McDonald, Sr. and Mildred McDonald (Starrett); her husband Brody Koon; her brothers, Joe McDonald, Luther McDonald and Phil McDonald, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Terri Jordan Koon; and her grandson Jace DeWitt.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Koon (Sheila) of Brashear, Texas, Jana DeWitt (Weldon) of Brashear, Texas, Karman Holland (Brad) of Brashear, Texas and Kris Koon (Miki) of Brashear, Texas; her grandchildren, Daron DeWitt, Jandi Lawrence (Michael), Kody Koon (Breanna), Kyle Koon, Kory Koon (Katie), Koyt Koon (Kylie), Joshua Holland (Tanna), Emily Emerine (Casey), John Holland (Andrea), Kade Koon and Chase Koon; and her great grandchildren, Ayden Koon, Addyson Koon, Kynslee Koon, Kaydence Koon, Kase Saucier, Emerson Koon, Brody Koon, Sawyer Koon, Sage Koon, Landri Lawrence, Sam Lawrence, Addie Emerine, Gentry Emerine, Colter Holland, Lane Holland, Jenna Holland and Emma Holland. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel (876 Wildcat Way, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (116 Oak Ave, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482).
