He was predeceased by: his mother Frances Hospital of Sulphur Springs, TX.; and his brother John Wayne Spurgin. He is survived by: his children, Doyle Spurgin, Karen Phillips (Michael), Ray Spurgin (Sheila), Barry Spurgin, Christopher Spurgin and Beki Spurgin. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to American Heart Association.
