He was predeceased by: his mother Frances; and his wife Danna Kay Murphey. He is survived by: his children, Billy Murphey (Joyce) of Brashear, Lora Eakin (Bobby) of Club Lake and Tammy Brown (John) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Chrystal Dickman, Shawn Erler, Melissa Honeycutt, Jeremy Eakin, Dakota Brown and Ashlie Jeffery; and his siblings, Harvey Dale Murphey and Brenda Murphey Derrington. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
