He was predeceased by: his parents, Bencelado and Juanita Zapata, Sr.; his wife Phyllis Zapata; and his brother Constancio Zapata. He is survived by: his brother Bencelado Zapata, Jr. (Elsa); his nephews, Michael Zapata (Patricia) and Ricardo Zapata; his niece Zenaida Rubino (Chris); and his great-nephews, Nicholas Zapata and Liam Rubino.

Face coverings and social distancing are required at the funeral home and at the burial site.
