He is survived by: his stepfather Carl Tarpley; his former wife Velma Lorene Shipman; his wife Lorene Tarpley of Brady; his daughter Sabrina Edwards (Dan) of Midland; his grandchildren, Casey Smith (Mallory) of Midland, Tanner Smith (Kim) of Midland and Brodi Sims (Payton) of Midland; his great grandchildren, Harper Smith, Kendall Smith and Wylee J. Sims; his siblings, Steve Tompson of Florida, Judith Greer (Gene) of Florida, Jeanette Hartzog (Dwight) of Tennessee and Kim Clanton of Florida; and his sister-in-law Willa Row. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
