It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Federico Castro of Brackettville, Texas, born in Uvalde, Texas, who passed away on July 20, 2023, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Anita Torres Smith and Louis Castro, Jr.; and his nephew Adam Cruz. He is survived by: his wife Jana Diane Castro of Brackettville; his daughter Jennifer Rose Castro; his grandson Joshua Charles Dunn of Houston; his siblings, Fatima Cruz (Joe) of Batesville and Celso Alejandro Castro of Waco; his stepdaughter Amanda Laurice Lara; and his stepgrandson Jack Joseph Thibodeaux of Houston. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
