She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie J. Lawson and Vera E. Lawson (Stone); and her siblings, Lola McCloud, Martha Johnson, Greta Scherman and Noah J. Lawson.
She is survived by: her daughter Glenda Hull; her grandchildren, Denise Lawson, Veronica Merket and Johnnie Lawson; and her siblings, Corina Reynolds, Clarence Lawson and Charlie Lawson. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, extended family members and a host of friends.
