He is survived by: his children, Johnnie Ann, Jack Alston (Suzanne) and Susan Cole (Terry); his friend Aline Quenon; his grandchildren, Tommy Wacaster (Lee Ann), Janice Schluter (Will), Michael Hicks, John Hicks (Natasha Hicks), Mackenna Cole (Greg), Joel Alston, Amy Patriquin, Vivian Alston and Anna Leigh Alston; his great grandchildren, Jessica Weaver (James), Kayla Wacaster, Ben Wacaster, Nick Schluter, Lauren Schluter, Jarith Hicks, Liam Cole and May Cole; and his great great grandchild Harrison Weaver. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
