He was predeceased by: his parents, R. T. Reed and Durette Reed (Stockton); his wife Carol Reed (King); and his siblings, Sandra Tibbs (Reed), Randall and Ronnie Reed.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Reed (Brenda) of Weatherford and Tim Reed (Amanda) of Boyd; his grandchildren, Danielle Griffin (Adam) of Boyd, Ryan Reed (Katka) of Fort Worth, Taylor Gates (Dalton) of Weatherford and Rachel Reed of Weatherford; and his great grandchildren, Reed and Ava Griffin.
