It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Roland Swindell of Boyd, Texas, born in Fort Worth, Texas, who passed away on April 1, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Clyde and Esther Lutie Long Swindell; his brothers, James Swindell, Tommy Joe Swindell and Clyde Junior Swindell; and his daughters, Brenda Swindell and Pamela Ann Alford.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Swindell of Boyd; and his children, Danny Dean (Vickie) of Everman, Sheryl McKay (Rick) of Weatherford, Debbie Phillips of Haslet and Rhonda Owen (Craig) of Boyd. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
