He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Smith and Shirley Smith (Inman). He is survived by: his wife Julia Smith of Boyd; his daughter Sarah Haberman (Ryan) of Boyd; and his brothers, Randy Smith (Gayla) and Kenny Smith (Laura) of Boyd.
