He was predeceased by: his siblings, Ira and Anita; and his parents, Connie Harris and George Harris. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his sons, Mark, Randy (Mandi) and Darrell; his foster daughters, Naomi (Kenneth), Nina and Nicki; his sisters, Wanda (Jack Shatley) and Lillian Greenslade; and his grandchildren, Tiffani (Robert), Brooke, Shalom (Tyler), Hannah and Nicholas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Jimmie Garland Harris was carried away in the arms of Jesus having died peacefully from complications of the coronavirus in Decatur Hospital on May 19, 2020 in Decatur, Texas at the age of 77.
