He was predeceased by: his parents, James Walter and Paula Scott (Lindsey); his stepson Jeremy Fincher; his sister Sheree Scott; his nephew Joshua Scott; and the mother of his children Iris Stagner.

He is survived by: his former wife Debora Lynn Babb; his wife Debbie Scott of Boyd; his daughters, Felicia Harvey (Xavier) of Brock and Amanda "Mandy" Kinser (William) of Springtown; his stepdaughter Tammy Smolinski (Joe) of Grand Prairie; his grandchildren, Folee, Sage, Alex, Mark, Austin, Shelby, Justin and Hunter; his brothers, Woody Scott of Decatur and Bill Scott of Cave Creek; and his nephew Zach Scott.
