He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Francis and Lucille Shine (Gordon); his sons, John Johnson and Jayson Shine; and his sister Roberta Wagerle.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Shine of Boyd; his children, Gene Shine of Fort Worth and Andree Rumbough (David) of Boyd; and his granddaughter Rachel Kozuszek.
